Sweet Dreams

Published 03/02/2012 by llwangelwings

These are the things I take with me.
From me they will never part.
I treat them as a key
To unlock the secrets of my heart

I take his voice whispering near
Unspoken words to say
Words I long to hear
Yet they are memories to replay

I take his arms to hold me tight
Safe, secure, and so strong
It feels totally right
Without his arms there I feel wrong

I take his eyes to gaze into
The windows to his soul
I don’t know what I’d so
His look fulfills me, makes me whole

I take his touch as soft as wind
Gently caressing me
To soothe, to sway, to mend
A true friend he will always be

I take my dreams of he and I
And the life that we share
A love that can not die
To part with it I do not dare

All these I take, yet leave behind
My soul, my spirit light
Burning deep, long, and kind
To give sweet dreams all through the night.

In My Dreams

Published 02/29/2012 by llwangelwings

In my dreams you come to me
Voiceless yet wanting to speak
Not sure of the words to say
Your eyes reflect like a mirror
Your touch responds like an echo
In my dreams you were someone
To hang my desires on

Love’s Test

Can you still hear my heart race
After every time I am near you?

Can you still see the twinkle in my eye
After every time I look at you?

Can you still feel the warmth of my smile
After every time I touch you?

Can you still taste my lips lingering
After every time I kiss you?

Can you still smell my perfume on your clothes
After every time I hug you?

Can you still sense my spirit light burning
After every time we say goodbye?

HOme Sweet Home.

Published 02/07/2012 by llwangelwings

Well I have been in the new apartment now for about a week.  I am slowly getting things unpacked and organized.  I really do love it.  It is so quiet, I don’t have to worry about waking up to neighbors fighting, or playing loud music.  I feel so much safer at the new place as well, there are no drug dealers or crack whores living in the apartment or visiting other residents who do live there.  In fact there is only one other person in the building and he is a sweet old man who I have nicknamed grandpa.  I am still trying to get get adjusted to being a little far from work and having to take a bus instead of walking but that is just one small factor compared to all the other positives.  I still have a few things at my old apartment and I just dread having to even set foot in that place.  I would almost be willing to let the stuff go if it weren’t for my books and grandmother’s wedding china.  I joke around that I left Hell and moved into Heaven but it really isn’t a joke.  It is true.  This is the first place in years I can truly say I feel at HOME at!  It truly is home sweet home for me.

3D

I have mixed feelings about remaking movies just to add the 3D effect.  In some cases it works very nicely and adds to the overall enjoyment of the movie, in other cases not so much.  I am enjoying the fact that Disney / Pixar is taking some of their classic films and re-doing them.  I loved Beauty and the Beast and 3d made Be Our Guest that much more exciting.  And please, let’s not overlook the chandelier, well hell, the whole ballroom in the theme song Beauty and the Beast; the 3D effect made it look that much more real.  I am also looking forward to Finding Nemo, when it comes out in September.  I am also anxious to see what other classics Disney / Pixar turn into 3D .  I am hoping for Little Mermaid and Cinderella.  I would also like to see how 101 Dalmatians (live or cartoon), Sleeping Beauty especially Maleficent turning into the dragon, and Fantasia would stand up to 3d imagery.

I am also VERY excited to see the entire hexalogy of  the Star Wars universe come to theaters with 3D effects.  I can’t imagine what the battle scenes, light sabers, the pod race, Darth Mull and of course Darth Vader will look like.  I can only say SPECTACULAR!  However, there are draw backs to bringing Star Wars to 3D.  The biggest one being … do we really need that much Jar Jar in our lives.  Mesa thinks not! I can live with that one small factor when all the rest … well it is going to be excellent. Hands down!

I know that Titanic is coming soon but there are other movies that I think would do well to being 3D – ified.  I think films like: Armageddon, Kubrick’s The Shining, Night of the Living Dead, something fun like maybe Grease just to name a few. I would say Rocky Horror Picture Show but being a member of Downhome Decadence shadowcast, I am used to bringing that to you in glorious 4D lol. But if this is my ultimate dream list … Can we say Lord of the Rings Trilogy?

On September 26, 1975, the film version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show opened at the UA Theatre in Westwood, Los Angeles California  – the one place it ended up being well received at the time. Despite those early bad reviews stating the film was awful, the actors were going nowhere or had ruined their career, and nobody would ever pay to see this film, over three decades later, Rocky lives on.

Tumblr vs WordPress

Published 01/25/2012 by llwangelwings

I currently have both a Tumblr page and a WordPress page.  I am thinking about getting rid of my Tumblr account.  It always seemed more a source for photo / gif blogging which I don’t do that much.  If I do get rid of my Tumblr, I am thinking of re-posting everything here.I just don’t know.
